A splendidly detailed unique all original painted Victorian linen press, this lovely example from the period retains its original painted finish, profusely applied mouldings of swags and bows, egg and dart are but just a few that enhance this wonderfully crafted linen press, to the inside of the door is the London makers label, Hampton & Sons, Pall Mall East, London, the doors enclosing a shelved interior with optional hanging rail, the shelf’s are removable, commensurate with age there are but just a few small loses to the applied mouldings, the linen press will separate at the line of the drawers to assist with access.
The overall dimensions are 87 . 5 inches in height, 53 inches in width and 24 . 5 inches in depth.
