A fine all original Victorian flamed mahogany writing table, the splendidly detailed stretcher base to include open barley twist turnings, finals and out swept acanthus carved scrolled supports terminating on there original brass castors, such examples as this are evidence of the standards that could be achieved by the carvers from the period, rising above the base the barley twist turnings support the writing table with frieze drawer, it is a wonderful example and offering very accommodating proportions.
