A rare fine pair of regency c1820 sofas, the sofas are well matched with both raised upon the same supports, both

the sofas have just been completely recovered and finished a delightful striped biscuit chenille from the Christina Marrone range and in keeping with the regency period, to either end coordinating baluster cushions and cord, so I am confidently able to say are faultless throughout and yet to be sat upon, to each corner the sofa is raised upon crafted turned supports seated in brass castors, the castors are new but correct for the period, as per photos the scrolled arms are with slightly different carvings and the show wood to the raised back to one is with carved detail, the sofas are a fine example and displaying the graceful scrolled end curvature reflective of the patience of the period carvers.
